IN THIS YEARS GINGERBREAD CONTEST

2014 was a record breaking year with 87 entries!  What a great display of talent from the entire Gogebic Range and even as far as Bruce Crossing.  Thanks to our annual sponsors River Valley Bank and Snow Country Contracting, Inc.   The houses are still on display at Downtown Art Place Gallery & Gifts.

We had a near record breaking number of entries again for 2013. We had 72 Gingerbread houses/structures on display in the windows of Downtown ARTplace. A few years ago we had 74 entries…Hopefully next year we’ll break that record.

This years winners were announced on the radio on the day of Jack Frost Parade, printed in the newspaper the following day and are posted on the inside of the Downtown ARTplace window.  Participants can take their entries home starting this WED from 11-5  I will open up Downtown ART place, see you then. Entries can also be picked up during regular gallery hours this week Thurs, Fri & Sat 11-5 pm.   Special thanks to River Valley Bank, our sponsor for the $ 400 in prize money given away. We appreciate their support, River Valley Bank will mail checks to winning entries soon.
