Downtown Art Place and Z Place Gallery features Ar’s Art for sale.

Ar Schneller, Artist

My art is for those who live or dream of being at the lake and enjoy energy expressed in color, shape, and form. As an artist living at Lake Superior, I watch ever-changing moods of the lake. Colors transform waves in an instant from blue to green as rugged shoreline rocks turn red in warm sunsets.

My love for the Great Lakes region rushes through my work. I love rivers, old hemlocks, rocks, waves, driftwood, and deep blue skies. Kayaking crystal clear water and hiking ice ridges impact my nature paintings, abstracts, collages and photographic images. I strive to capture a sense of calm and beauty through shoreline seasons that drift along in that moment–other paintings, mixed media, and poetry travel on gusts of turbulent churnings from raging storms, strong winds, dark clouds, heavy snow, and thundering waterfalls.

Also see Ar Schneller’s work at Z Place Gallery and Downtown Art Place in Ironwood, all year long.
