Gallery & Classroom Opens June 26, 2012
After weeks of cleaning, painting and organizing we opened the gallery and art classroom. We’ve been open for several weeks now and are excited to share our creative space with the community. A special thanks to workers Amy Anderson, Kaite & Bryce and Mike Hedman. I also want to thank my wonderful husband Tom and my two boys Eric & Kevin for their support in making my dream come true!
Since opening, we are teaching adult art classes with our theme, “Fast Fun Art”. We know people love being creative and hope to inspire everyone. Adults and teens will finish a project in 3 hours for $ 30 per person including all materials. If you’d like, pack a sack lunch and join us at noon for lunch to chat about art. For only an additional $ 15 per person stay the afternoon to receive further art instruction or make the same project as a gift using our materials.
We’ve also put together a great art library, grab a cup of coffee and stay awhile to look through our books and DVDs. We don’t loan any of them as we reference them often, but please stop in and get inspired for great art ideas. We have original art for sale made by Amy Anderson along with her beautiful Lake Superior beach glass jewelry and her driftwood mobiles. Arlene Schneller features paintings, collages and Lake Superior Images, featuring a nice selection of seasonal shoreline photographs and sunsets. Much of Arlene’s work are made into beautiful cards, calendars and giclees which make nice gifts or as a treat yourself!
